Colin, a high school student in the Bay Area, CA, jumped into acting at the start of middle school. Being a strong scholar, he maintained exemplary grades while doing adult community theatre that required late evening rehearsals during the school year. Currently, he participates in a fabulous school drama program under the direction of Steven Minning and has performed with Lamplighters Music Theatre, Bay Opera Collaborative and Pocket Opera in the summer.

Colin has an unusual breadth of experience with the Gilbert & Sullivan oeuvre for a young actor. He is a baritone (G2-G4) and has studied voice with Sam Faustine and Pierce Peter Brandt. Directors praise Colin for his serious work ethic.

              Voice

              Colin's voice instruction began in 3rd grade (through 8th) with the North Star Academy chorus under the direction of Lauren Mayer.

              He is currently studying with Sam Faustine and had been a student of Pierce Peter Brandt - Performance Singing. 

              "Pur diceste, o boca bella" and "Elégie" (5min)

              Colin sings Antonio Lotti's "Pur dicesti, o boca bella" and Jules Massenet's "Elégie" accompanied by Sharon Davis during the Menlo School Classical Recital in February 2019.

              "Prayer of the Children" (5min)

              Voice & Acting

              San Francisco Conservatory of Music

              Colin participated in the two week Gilbert & Sullivan Scenes Program every June between 2013-2016.
              Run by Lamplighters Music Theatre at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the program culminates with a performance of about 36 scenes from different operettas which feature the various youth actors.

              Hamlet Soliloquy (3min)

              Colin delivers Hamlet's famous "To be or not to be" monologue in his North Star Academy 8th grade English class during a poetry module, December 2014.  Preparation time was less than a week including three fifteen-minute lunch sessions with Ms.Tagano.

              Violin 

              Since 2015, Colin has participated in the Menlo School Orchestra currently under the direction of Leo Kitajima (formerly Vicky Greenbaum). He participated in the Peninsula Youth Orchestra under the direction of Sara Salsbury between 2012-2016.
